Today, I wanted to share a super sweet traveler’s notebook process with you, commemorating my daughter’s 2nd grade musical performance. Her and her friends were beyond cute in their performance of “Nuts”, and my sweet girl played a star Macadamia Nut π
You can check out my process for how this page came together over on my YouTube channel:
As I continue to work in my traveler’s notebooks, I am learning to let go of the need to have my layouts look like everyone else’s layouts. I see so many gorgeous pages on Instagram and YouTube that are pristine, color-coordinated, and fantastic at utilizing white space. None of those are my strengths when it comes to memory keeping, and it was starting to get me down that my layouts were nothing like those of the design team members that I admire.
But, the truth is, you just have to do what brings you joy. Memory keeping is a hobby for me, and I have been loving documenting in my traveler’s notebooks. Who cares if I don’t pick up the colors in my pictures with the supplies I use? Does it matter that I want to put “all the things” on the page and not leave any white space? What if my hand-writing is a mess or my page ends up super busy?
It just doesn’t matter! What matters is that I have documented a memory for myself and my family! A finished entry is much more valuable to me than a perfect one π
What’s your style of scrapping? Do you excel at minimalism or are you more of a “use all the things” kind of scrapper? Let me know in the comments below!
