Advent Mini Album 2019

img_6489Advent season is nearly upon us and there are so many great options on how to both celebrate and study during this wonderful time of the year.  I will be working through a couple of different devotionals, but also I had the desire to continue a daily scripture writing just like I had done during Gratitude Documented in November.  That brought me to create an Advent Mini-Album to hold all of my scripture writing.  Check out the process video over on my YouTube channel:

What I loved about this particular mini album is just how simple it ended up being!  To start, I chose a piece of very striking black card stock and cut it into three pieces, each measure 9″ tall and 4″ wide.  I also cut a piece of dark green card stock into three pieces, each measuring slightly smaller than the black card stock.  I believe those came out to 8.75″ tall and 3.75″ wide.  To put together the base of the album, I laid the black card stock pieces next to each other (vertically), and used seasonal washi to piece the scraps together.  I made sure that the paper was not touching, but was slightly spaced so that the album would close, even when full of cards.  Then, I mounted the green pieces on the inside of the album sections, creating a nice matted area where my other cards would be mounted.

December Scripture Writing

I hope you enjoy this tutorial!  I’d love to hear how you plan to study during Advent this year…let me know in the comments below!
