My Favorite Things – December 2019

We all go through crafting phases at times.  Sometimes we are super interested in markers while other times paint gets all of our attention.  Sometimes it is all about layering with paper pieces while other times we can’t get enough of textured scissors.  I get questions all the time about what my favorite craft items are…so, I thought I’d share!  Here are a few of the craft items that I am really grabbing for frequently these days:

Favorite Thing #1 – Tombow Hand-lettering Pen

These are such great pens for someone just starting out with hand-lettering like me!  They are very affordable, create great consistent strokes, and have a flexible nib that provides just the right amount of variation.  I am loving using these pens as I continue to work on my hand-lettering!

Favorite Thing #2 – Pixie Spray

This is a MUST HAVE if you love using stencils.  This spray does a great job of keeping a stencil in place as you work over the top.  I use it all the time while working on blending inks over the top of stencils.  Additionally, this spray really helps me to create crisp lines as I am crafting.  I picked this up during the summer, and I will never work with a stencil again without using it!

I am LOVING these sets!  They have been released one at a time for the past 3 months from By the Well 4 God.  I love how the sets layer perfectly.  They are a perfect size for Bible journaling or memory keeping.  Stamp sets can be expensive, but I truly feel like an alpha set is one that you will be able to use over and over.  I will certainly be grabbing for these all the time this month!

I can’t say enough about this amazing new tool.  Created by We R Memory Keepers, this tool is perfect for this time of year.  Nothing says holiday crafting like adding metallic touches!  These are available as a starter set or can be purchased individually.  While they take a little bit of getting used to, it’ll take you no time to start adding foil to all the things!

It is no secret that I am a fan of the Traveler’s Notebook system.  I use TNs for all kinds of things in my craft room – faith journaling, list making, memory keeping, gratitude journaling, and even more!  Webster’s pages makes all kinds of beautiful covers.  I have a great time switching them out to go with the season or current devotional that I am working on.  I collect these every time they go on sale and have more blank notebooks than I can count!

What are some of your favorite craft items these day?  Let me know in the comments below!

Keep it creative,
