“Standing in the Darkness” Bible Journal Process

Hello all!  I hope that you all are safe, well, and hunkered down at home.  My family is doing our very best to follow all of the orders and guidelines to keep ourselves and others safe.  That means close quarters and lots of family time for the foreseeable future. With that being said, I am doing my best to continue creating and publishing videos and blog posts, but am obviously having to adapt to these new conditions.  It has been a huge adjustment, just like it has been for everyone around the world.  In order to streamline my typical workload, my blog posts will be significantly shorter for the near future.  I will still post here, but mostly sharing video links, additional photos, and a supply list.  Thank in advance for understanding, and I do hope that you will continue to support me here and over on my YouTube channel!

This week, I dove into the new Illustrated Faith devotional, “From Where I Stand”.  This devotional has us taking in the Easter story through the lens of Mary Magdalene.  So far, the biggest take-away I have had is to really sit with and process the feelings that I am feeling and learning how to project myself into other people’s shoes and try to empathize with what they may be feeling.  Here is my process for the week:

Also, here are a few additional photos of the entry:

Are you journaling through this devotional this month?  Are you journaling at all or processing world events in a different way?  Let me know in the comments below!

Keep it creative,

I'm a mom of 3 who loves all things creative! My current passion is bible journaling, a creative outlet that has really shaped my faith journey. I'm also excited about diving into some memory-keeping projects and dabbling in a bit of art journaling.
