Creating Your Own A5 Journal!

img_3977It is no secret that I love Felicity Jane products!  Their papers are so beautiful and the quality of everything they do is just out of this world.  However, I have discovered that because of the way I like to use mixed media and watercolor in my memory keeping, their A5 notebooks do not really hold up well to all of that moisture.  So, I decided to make my own:

The plus side of creating your own notebook is that you can customize it to your specific needs.  So, I opted for a 32 lb. cardstock that holds up to paint pretty well.  I also like mix and matching patterned papers in my notebooks to give me a jumping off point for different pages.  I have not been really creatively inspired lately, so having a starting point ready to go helps me overcome hurdles in documenting.

I love that you can use simple paper supplies, even kits that other people have, and create something so unique and personal to you.  An hour or two spent playing with paper can really produce some beautiful results!

Have you ever created your own notebook?  I’d love to hear about it!

Keep it creative,

I'm a mom of 3 who loves all things creative! My current passion is bible journaling, a creative outlet that has really shaped my faith journey. I'm also excited about diving into some memory-keeping projects and dabbling in a bit of art journaling.
