Spiritual Rhythm Bible Journal Process

img_4228The whole rhythm of life has definitely been thrown into a tail-spin recently.  Even if you already considered yourself a homebody, being quarantined or in a “shelter in place” restriction definitely throws off your normal life rhythms.  Add in suddenly home-schooling your children, working from home, and wearing a mask when you leave your house, things definitely feel out of whack.

But, when every over rhythm in your life feels off, you can lean in to the spiritual rhythms prescribed by God to set the tone for the rest of your life.  As Peter eloquently lays out in 2 Peter, we are gifted faith by God and then called to build upon that faith throughout our life.  I for one am so thankful for the spiritual disciplines that are getting me through this crazy time in life.  I am so thankful for the promises of God, knowing that He is a promise fulfiller!

We recently had a virtual sermon through my church and this concept of spiritual rhythm really struck me.  I found myself cuddled on my couch worshipping instead of in a pew, but the same feelings were there.  I have the desire to live out my life in a way that is “symptomatic” of the faith I have.

To create this Bible journal entry, I opted for a couple of older printable sets from the Illustrated Faith “Print & Pray” Shop.  I love reprinting and using older sets, because it really makes me feel like I am getting my moneys worth!  Also, printable files make it so easy to create an intricate journal page without much effort.  This page was quick and simple, yet so impactful!

How have the rhythms of your life been impacted lately?  Are you leaning into your spiritual rhythms or creating new ones?  I’d love to hear from you below!

Keep it creative,

I'm a mom of 3 who loves all things creative! My current passion is bible journaling, a creative outlet that has really shaped my faith journey. I'm also excited about diving into some memory-keeping projects and dabbling in a bit of art journaling.
