“Hard Things” Art Journal Process

img_4267We can most definitely do hard things.  Many of us have been doing hard things for our whole lives, but it certainly has been magnified over the past 6 weeks or so.  Whether you are thriving in the midst of quarantine or barely getting through each day, you are still doing it!  You are pushing through all kinds of hard circumstances, and that is so amazing.

I chose “We Can Do Hard Things” as the focus for my most recent art journal entry.  The Dina Wakley Blue edition art journal is challenging me in all kinds of ways, but I am enjoying getting to know it a bit more.  This week, I primarily used acrylic paints to create my spread, but was able to experiment with a couple of different techniques.

There are a few things that I would probably change about this entry, but in the end, each art journal entry is much more about the process than the product for me.  I am always a bit surprised at what comes out in the end, and I think that is where the fun in art journaling truly is found!

What is challenging your creative journey recently?

Keep it creative,

I'm a mom of 3 who loves all things creative! My current passion is bible journaling, a creative outlet that has really shaped my faith journey. I'm also excited about diving into some memory-keeping projects and dabbling in a bit of art journaling.
