Summer is here! Well, almost. My kiddos still have a couple weeks left of virtual school, but once Illustrated Faith announces their plans for Revival Camp, I always feel like it must be summer. Revival Camp is an annual project hosted by Illustrated Faith that really dives in to some of the pillars of the Christian faith. Generally there is an outdoorsy or camp theme, and the project spans a couple of months. This year, the theme is focused on sewing, specifically how God sewed together a perfect story of redemption and salvation throughout the Bible.
I am actually still working through the last Illustrated Faith kit, “Arise”. I don’t want to rush myself, so I will continue to take my time with that devotional. I would encourage you to do the same! It can be overwhelming with a new kit coming out every month, but don’t feel like you have to work through the kit every month. God’s timing is perfect, so whenever you have the opportunity to study a particular devotional, God will speak to you in that time!
This summer, I am trying something new with my journaling and memory keeping projects. I plan to consolidate them into my summer “Crafty Club Playbook” from the Reset Girl. I worked through the spring playbook this year and absolutely loved it! It is hard for me to work on multiple projects during the summer…with my kids home and vacations planned (hopefully!) things are busy! But, I am hoping that pulling all the small projects into one large one will allow me to more easily work on the go.
Check out my YouTube video for how I set up the first couple of journaling pages. Pre-creating these pages allows me to focus on the study when I am ready to sit down and reflect. Plus, I get to experiment with different mediums and layering on pages that are easily pulled in and out of my journal. Win, win!
What are your summer plans? I’d love to hear from you in the comments below!
