Documenting the past couple of months has definitely felt different. Times are not easy, but we are certainly making memories. I’ve had some pretty amazing accomplishments, but also felt some very low times as well. But, I will continue to document my family’s story through the roller coaster, because I am sure we will want to look back!
I am loving how the direction of this journal entry changed as it went. I originally intended to document a couple of unrelated pictures, but fell in love with the heart element that I created. Since I didn’t want to cover it up, I chose to focus on one picture, a picture of me receiving my first Cricut Explore Air 2. The Cricut company reached out to me to see if I would be interested in working with them and this awesome machine, and I said yes! I’ve been blogging and doing YouTube for just over a year, and this felt like an enormous honor and break through!
The layout actually ended up being rather simple, with my Cricut cut heart embellishment on the right side and a picture with simple hidden journaling on the left. I was even able to mix and match a few pieces from Amy Tangerine’s Picnic in the Park collection! I love when I am able to use elements from different collections! It makes for a fun and truly unique layout.
How are you choosing to document these quarantine days? Focusing on the good? Getting all the details down or letting the days blur together? I’d love to hear from you in the comments below!
Keep it creative,
-The Scrappy Wife
